Our response to coronavirus (COVID-19)
Our customers, colleagues and communities are at the heart of what we do. Therefore in light of the developing Covid-19 situation, we will be posting information on what action we are taking based upon recommendations by the Government.
In line with recent government updates and current restrictions, we have limited our chapel capacity to 30 mourners.
For more information, please click here.
During the current situation, we appreciate that it may be difficult to decide on a fitting tribute for your loved ones. We know that finding a special way for you to remember and mourn is extremely important, and we understand that you may be thinking about what options are available to you at this time.
We’d like to reassure you that our trained colleagues are still available to assist you in finding your loved ones’ lasting tribute.
If you’d like us to contact you to discuss this further, or to ask any questions you may have, please complete the enquiry form on the Brochure Request page where you can also download a digital version of our Memorial Brochure.
Welcome to New Southgate Cemetery & Crematorium.
A restored Victorian cemetery near to the centre of London, New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium is regarded as an historic and beautiful woodland cemetery.
New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium is a wonderfully diverse and historic place. Established in 1856, by act of Parliament, many of the sixty acres resemble a country park with tree lined drives and gardens.
Established in 1856, by act of Parliament, many of the sixty acres resemble a country park with tree lined drives and gardens.
The many burial sections reflect the broad range of people that we serve, with individual areas for Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Caribbean communities. Wooded areas also exist for people who wish to have more natural surroundings, often placed within older heritage sections.
The chapel has a traditional feel but is warmly furnished and fitted with modern music and lighting systems to ensure that an individual funeral can be provided on every occasion.
Memorial safety checks will be starting on 7th October 2019. This will involve inspections taking place throughout the grounds and within opening hours. We hope this will not inconvenience any of our visitors but please contact the crematorium office should you have any queries.
