New look for New Southgate Crematorium’s chapel

The chapel at New Southgate Cemetery & Crematorium has been given a new look following a programme of refurbishment.

Blending modern elegance with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the chapel now offers an even more comforting space for families to say goodbye to their loved ones. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a serene and uplifting environment.

The improvements include full internal redecoration, new flooring and a host of stylish features such as a fully bespoke catafalque, contemporary chapel chairs, a rise-and-fall lectern, motorised voile and curtains, a tailored canopy with an upholstered pelmet and enhanced lighting to set the perfect tone.

New Southgate Cemetery & Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 42 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, and which is trusted by more families than any other provider to deliver funerals for their loved ones.

All Westerleigh's locations are set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide peaceful places for people to visit and reflect, while benefitting from exceptional care and support from its teams.

Manager David Stevenson said: “We have always been proud of our facilities at the crematorium, but the transformation as a result of this refurbishment has been amazing, blending the best features of this restored Victorian chapel building with a modern, comforting and welcoming feel.

“Westerleigh Group’s values are built around providing exceptional care; that applies to the support we provide to bereaved families as well as to our crematoria facilities and grounds.

“Westerleigh Group continues to invest in all its sites to ensure every family we support receives the highest standards of care, comfort and respect.

“It is a privilege to serve local bereaved families in our refurbished facilities, which are now better than ever.”
